An iftar program was organized for our students with the support of Burdur Yörük Culture Research and Survival Association.

The President of Burdur Yörük Culture Research and Survival Association met with Yeşilova İsmail Akın Tourism MYO students at iftar. The association, which is always on the field to keep the Yörük culture alive, is hosted at different iftar tables during Ramadan.

On the 6th day of Ramadan, university students, Yeşilova District Governor Mustafa Turan, Yeşilova İsmail Akın Tourism MYO Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mert Gürlek, and MYO academic and administrative staff attended the iftar held in Yeşilova.

Speaking at the iftar, Yeşilova İsmail Akın Tourism MYO Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mert Gürlek said, “We strive to bring our students together with a different event every month. This time, we are together with the support of our president Alaettin Kalkan. We thank YÖKAKDER President Alaettin Kalkan, who brought us together at the iftar table with his contributions on this Ramadan day, and our district governor, our students, our academic and administrative staff for their participation. I especially wish success to our president, who strives to keep our culture alive. We see the beauty of Ramadan once again at this iftar table. We are all together with peace and happiness,” he said.

YÖRKAYDER President Alaettin Kalkan said, “It is very nice to come together with young people in such a beautiful environment and during Ramadan. Our goal is both to spread our culture and, most importantly, to protect it. Being with you at the iftar table made us very happy. We thank our district governor for their participation and especially the Yeşilova MYO students, teachers, and staff,” he said.

Yeşilova District Governor Mustafa Turan said, “We are experiencing one of the beauties of Ramadan here all together. Sharing, happiness, and peace. I thank all the participants, especially the young people, who contributed to this,” he said.

After the iftar, a plaque was given to Alaettin Kalkan for his participation and contributions and to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Utku Ongun for his support by Yeşilova District Governor Mustafa Turan.
